Welcome New High School Principal

I am excited and honored to be serving the Manchester-Shortsville community as the new Principal of Red Jacket High School. One of my primary goals is to establish a welcoming and affirming environment that fosters high expectations and rigorous instructional practices in an engaging and safe school.

For the past 14 years, I have served in a variety of roles for the Greece Central School District. My career began as a Special Education Teacher at Greece Olympia where I also coached football and track & field, before transitioning to Assistant Principal at Greece Athena. For the past five years, I led the Phoenix Academy, Greece Central School District’s Alternative School, as an Assistant Director.

My roots run deep in the Manchester-Shortsville community, which makes me particularly excited to strengthen the learning partnership between Red Jacket High School and community members. I am committed to providing a safe and collaborative culture shaped by all stakeholders, rooted in the universal values of honesty and caring, and relentlessly oriented toward student achievement. Building positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, staff, and community partners, as an honest and open servant leader, is of my highest priority. I am excited for the work we will be doing together this year!

Sincerely,

Bryon C. George

School & Community Library Questions & Answers

Please see the attached question and answer document regarding the Red Jacket Community Library and the School. The Community Library has the latest revised lease agreement. Although we provide the Community Library with hours of use that do not overlap with school hours for obvious safety reasons, we did communicate that we would notify them of when the school would not be using the library for school purposes during daytime hours so they could adjust their hours if they so desired.
