This is Mr. Bracy's third year at Red Jacket. Mr. Bracy’s educational experiences encompass UPK to 12th grade. Before completing his masters in Educational Administration at SUNY Brockport, he taught at the middle school and high school levels. His passion for teaching and learning continues each day because we are all lifelong learners.
Dear Red Jacket Families,
November is here and it is hard believe the first quarter has come to a close. During this time of thanksgiving, I reflect on the wonderful students and staff at Red Jacket. Thank you parents for your support and care to your child(ren) and to the school.
This year the HS Building Council added to the ways we recognize positive student behaviors. When teachers “catch a student” demonstrating PRIDE (Partnership, Respect, Integrity, Dignity, Excellence) in the school they are filling out a positive post card to be sent home. This year we have added to the positive recognition beyond the postcard. Students who receive PRIDE postcards go into a drawing. Each Friday we draw a name and announce the student during morning announcements. Students can choose either a Mac’s Philly Steaks $10 gift certificate or a Mark’s Pizza gift certificate. It keeps the “buzz” among students because they are hearing the announcement each week (versus ‘student of the month’) and seeing the hallway displays and “word of mouth” from the week’s winner. We are seeing an increase of staff writing postcards this year and students are asking how they can receive a postcard.
As always, I look forward to seeing you throughout the year at our school sponsored events, sports competitions, and community events.
With Red Jacket PRIDE,
